TOILET TRAINING YOUR FIRST PUPPY IN SINGAPORE - A Be Kind To Pets Book, published by www.sinpets.com

I am Dr Sing Kong Yuen, a veterinarian and founder of Toa Payoh Vets, a small animal practice Singapore. More information is at www.toapayohvets.com

I hope to write a book on Toilet Training Your New Puppy for Singaporeans, based on real life experiences of Singapore's puppy owners. It is so boring reading manuals and the real cases will be of great interest to real puppy owners all over the world. In Singapore, younger puppy owners research more on the internet and forums. There are some owners who beat or threaten their puppies to go to the proper toilet location as advised by friends. I hope this book, based on my research with new puppy owners who share their knowledge, will be of use to all new puppy owners, especially apartment residents, all over the world, making them "Be Kind To Puppies" by proper training and becoming a pleasure to bond for life.

Beginning July 2005, whenever I have time, I will record the experiences of Singapore puppy owners who come to see me, usually for puppy vaccination. All are happy to share their experiences. It is such a pleasure to share the beginning of a beautiful relationship with the puppy and we all enjoy knowing the various habits and behaviours of the four-legged bundle of joy. Real cases are so fascinating compared to reading a how-to technical manual. They show the application and improvisation of the theories and this book will be of much use to many puppy owners all over the world.

I just need to discipline myself to find time to write down their practices immediately as there are several useful pointers missed if I delay writing. Sometimes I need inspiration but there is no muse. Sometimes, during lunch-time I will go to the brand new National Library Lee Kong Chian Reference Library, near Bugis subway to do some research and record the cases in this blog.

I hope more puppies have a better peaceful life if owners are educated. More pictures of BE KIND TO PETS community education are at www.toapayohvets.com. Although you can e-mail to me at judy@toapayohvets your pet health problems, it is very risky to diagnose via the internet and via telephone because we are at different wave-lengths in thinking what appears to be the problem with your pets. Therefore, it is best to consult your veterinarian if you want your pets to live longer.
