Is this situation a case for the the SGEM (Speak Good English Movement)? Is the owner not speaking good grammatical English so that the puppy understands?
Was there clear communication? There was body language communication. The puppy saw an unhappy face and raised hand. So, his heart beat fastest and he dashed under the furthest corner of the bed to avoid a spanking.
It was like a duck (quack quack) communicating to the hen (cluck cluck).
