The owner of a beautiful gold/white female Shih Tzu said, "After giving treats, the Shih Tzu is more accurate in peeing inside the newspaper area."

Another useful tip is the use of a foldable playpen. By week 2, the Shih Tzu can access the playpen toilet area when the hinge in the particular fence is undone, opening up the playpen with the newspapers inside.
